Antique 19thC white ironstone sugar sifter with blue willow pattern transfer
A very rare piece of antique kitchenalia: a 19thC white ironstone sugar sifter decorated with blue willow pattern transfer.
The sifter has a beautiful bulbous body and a wide flat top.
These ironstone shakers are highly sought after and we’re please to be able to offer this piece.
They’re also known as sugar castor, muffineer or pepper pot.

Condition:
The sifter is fully stained, glaze crazing is present as well as some wear around the little holes at the top.
The foot has been broken and glued again (photo 5 & 9).
