Deer target board

Deer target board

A circular wooden board, beautifully hand painted with a roe deer buck on applied paper and used as a target for a shooting competition in 1934. A very unique and highly decorative piece of country sporting memorabilia, the reverse is marked in pencil with all of the shooter's names and numbers next to their .22 bullet holes. The outside edge has some illegible writing pertaining to the day, but a date of 1934 can clearly be seen.

36.5cm diameter (14-3/8")

1.7cm deep (5/8")
