Antique ironstone sepia transfer potted meat pot - Seager Chicken and Ham

An antique white ironstone potted meat pot, decorated with a sepia underglaze transfer for potted Chicken and Ham from R. Seager of Ipswich. A nice, clean example with a bold transfer strike.

Condition:
There is a fine surface hairline inside the rim into the body, but this is only on the inside and does not travel to the outside of the pot. There is also a firing fault on the foot on the back side, but this is glazed over and has been there since manufacture. Otherwise some small surface marks and wear but no damage.
