Edwardian white ironstone potted Beef pot - Bolland, Chester

A rare Edwardian white ironstone Bolland potted meat pot, decorated on one side with bold cross shaded ‘BEEF’ lettering surrounded by an oval chain border. The opposing side is decorated with a belted transfer for Bolland of Chester - By Appointment to the King.
A wide, shallow potted meat pot compared to others, which was very typical of Bolland, the tops of the transfers overlap the notched rim, and the foot on the belted side.

Condition:
In superb condition with no damage, there is some light glaze crazing, slight stain marks and age related wear.
