A Victorian white ironstone tooth chemist pot lid and original base, made for Cherry Tooth Paste from S. Maw, Son & Thompson.
A very stylish and decorative advertising transfer, which utilises a variety of typography styles, scrolling infill and the central trade mark for Maw, whose impressed mark is also beneath the foot of the base.

Condition:
There is a tiny chip on the flange of the lid with a miniscule fleabite next to it, otherwise it is in lovely clean condition with minor wear around the rim.
The base has a chip on the foot, along with some crazing, staining and other age related wear marks.
