Antique R.T. Jackson & Co. stoneware caviar pot

An early 20thC stoneware caviar pot, produced for RT. Jackson & Co. 172 Piccadilly. A very attractive example with a bold transfer striker, the bold typography is accompanied by their royal appointment warrant to H.M. King George V.
Potted by Doulton Lambeth, with their oval impressed mark beneath, the pot is modelled with a notched rim that would have secured a stoneware lid affixed by a twisting metal claw clasp.

Condition:
Light age related wear, marks and small stain spots, but no chips or cracks. There are some surface glaze craze lines around the foot and body, but these are not damage.
