Large version Wright & Son’s Noted Cakes plinth and glass cloche
A large circular shop display plinth, heavily made of white ironstone pottery and decorated with black underglaze transfer typography advertising 'Wright & Son's Noted Cakes', along with blue and red pinstripes around the rims. Particularly rare in this larger size, most examples are the half size (final picture), with this being the first large example we have been able to offer.
Approximate dimensions:
Plinth: 28cm diameter and 3.9cm tall
Cloche: 22cm diameter and 22cm tall
Together 25cm tall
Condition:
Some staining, crazing and age related wear, but no damage.
Matched with a later glass cloche for display.
