Antique French ironstone Confiture pot

A rare antique French ironstone Confiture pot, decorated with a stunning black advertising transfer for Richon-Massicot Epicerie Moderne, Lyon, which incorporates a detailed pictorial of the shop front.
A significantly scarce offering, this squat 2lb sized pot is modelled with a notched rolled rim and marked beneath with the Terre de Fer (iron earth) trademark from Creil et Montereau.

Condition:
There are three old chips to the underside of the foot, along with some tiny firing marks and other age related wear. Otherwise it is in lovely clean condition and displays beautifully.
