Antique ironstone Otto of Rose Cold Cream pot lid and base - Harrods, London

A Victorian white ironstone chemist pot lid and base, decorated with a stylish black under glaze transfer for Otto of Rose Cold Cream, produced for Harrod’s Limited, London, by Becher Wigginton - Chemist.

Condition:
The lid has a couple of chips on the outside of the flange, and a couple of scrapes on the inside along with a further small bruise. There is also some rusty coloured stain spots and light wear, but the top surface of the lid is good.
The matched base has a slightly wider shoulder than the lid, but it displays nicely nonetheless and looks good as a base stand. It has some crazing, staining and wear with some minor firing imperfections but no damage.
