Rare antique Rowntree cocoa sample tin - Clouded Yellow Butterfly

A rare Edwardian Rowntree’s cocoa sample tin, shaped like a butterfly and printed on the lid with the ‘Clouded Yellow’ design. The reverse of the tin is embossed with ‘Rowntree York’, with the lettering also appearing on the edges of the lid. A scarcely offered version of the butterfly sample tin series.

Condition:
Surface wear and spotting, light scratches and tarnish/patination, but still displays nicely with no splits or dents.
