Antique ironstone Savars Cherry Tooth Paste pot lid and base

A Victorian white ironstone pot lid, decorated with a beautiful black underglaze transfer for ‘Savar’s Cherry Tooth Paste - for cleaning and preserving the teeth and gums’.
A very attractive and increasingly scarce lid, which utilises a variety of bold typography, along with a decorative scrolling banner and the triangular trademark. Matched with an antique ‘Toogood’ patent white ironstone pot base for display.

Condition:
The lid has a small chip on the rim of the top edge, with some tiny bruise lines emanating from it. There is also some glaze crazing and wear, but no other damage.
The base fits the lid quite nicely and has a chip on the rim and one on the shoulder, along with some glaze crazing to match the lid.
