Stained Edwardian potted meat pot - Scott’s Altrincham

A stained antique white ironstone potted meat pot, decorated with an iconic bold black under glaze transfer for Scott’s Potted Meat, Altrincham, which utilises angled dimensional typography to create a jagged look.
Modelled as a round pot with a notched rim, it has stained to a lovely beige colour but retained the depth of colour to the black transfer strike.

Condition:
There is a small crack/chip in the rim that almost looks as if it began as a firing fault. Otherwise the pot is undamaged with attractive fat staining and light wear.
