XL Antique Dutch ironstone Corpus Christi on wooden cross - Petrus Regout
A stunning antique Corpus Christi, modelled in plain white glazed ironstone and mounted on an ebonised wooden cross with iron nails. Produced by Petrus Regout of Maastricht (with the oval maker's mark on the back side), the ironstone Jesus is accompanied by a scrolling ironstone banner above with stylised 'INRI' lettering.

Condition:
The scrolling banner at the top has an old crack in the middle, otherwise the piece is in very good original condition.
