Antique ironstone stamp wetting well - Veteran Series stationery dish
A scarce early 20thC stationary dish, produced from white ironstone to act as a water well for wetting stamps. Modelled with a rolled and lipped rim, the face is decorated with a striking black transfer for the British 'Veteran Series' of stationery items, which features stylised typography in a cross shaded scrolling cartouche.

Condition:
Superb original condition with minimal wear and no damage. Some minor age related crazing and marks are present.
